Dr. Stephen Carter, Sr.

Dr. Stephen Carter, Sr. has spent over 30 years in pastoral ministry. Not building a platform, but building people. His calling is simple: preach the Word, shepherd the flock, and equip the saints. Everything else is details.
He founded New Life Christian Church in 2019 with a conviction that Northern Colorado needed a church that takes the Bible seriously while meeting people where they actually are: in their marriages, their parenting, their doubts, and their daily lives.
His teaching style blends theological precision with cultural awareness and practical application. Complex theology made accessible without compromising depth. He doesn’t teach at people. He teaches with them.

BIBLICAL GOVERNMENT
How We’re Structured
New Life is an elder-led, congregationally informed church. Our structure is based on Scripture, not tradition or preference.
Elders
Qualified men who shepherd the congregation through teaching, oversight, and spiritual care. Elders govern in matters of doctrine, discipline, and worship. They make final decisions with a required counsel window from the congregation.

Qualified men who serve under elder oversight by attending to the practical needs of the church: logistics, hospitality, mercy ministries, and operations that free elders to focus on prayer and the Word.

Every member of New Life has a voice. While elders govern, the congregation is informed and has opportunity to provide input on key decisions. Authority rests with the elders; the congregation’s voice is heard and valued.
