ABOUT US
Our Story
A Christ-centered church growing roots in Wellington, Colorado.

HOW IT STARTED
Our Story
New Life started with a simple conviction: Northern Colorado needed a church that taught the whole Bible without apology and loved people without pretense. In 2019, a few families began meeting in a living room. No stage, no budget, no plan other than to open Scripture together and see what God would do.
He did more than we expected. Families kept showing up. Conversations got deeper. People who had walked away from church found reasons to come back. The living room ran out of chairs, so we found a bigger room.
Today we gather every Sunday in Wellington, Colorado. We’re mostly young families in their twenties, a solid group of seasoned believers, and a growing number of people still figuring out what they believe. The room is bigger now, but the mission hasn’t changed: know Christ, love people, hold nothing back.
New Life Christian Church is recognized through the Evangelical Association, a growing national fellowship of orthodox, self-governing churches united by historic Christian faith.
WHAT DRIVES US
Built on Three Pillars
Everything we do flows from these convictions. They shape how we worship, how we teach, and how we treat each other.
Biblical Authority
We don’t adjust the Bible to fit the culture. We let the Bible speak for itself. Every sermon, every decision, every counseling session starts and ends with Scripture. It’s our only authority and our greatest treasure.
Real Community
Church isn’t a building you visit. It’s a family you belong to. We share meals, carry burdens, celebrate wins, and walk through the hard stuff together. No one sits alone here.
Theological Depth
We believe doctrine matters because truth matters. Our teaching is rooted in Scripture and the historic Christian faith, not because it’s popular, but because we believe the Bible speaks with authority to every area of life.
OUR PASTOR
Dr. Carter
With 30 years in pastoral ministry and a doctorate focused on pastoral counseling, Dr. Carter brings both theological depth and real-world compassion to everything he does, from the pulpit to the counseling room.
He and his wife have been married for 27 years and have four children. He planted New Life because he saw a need in Northern Colorado for a church that wouldn’t water down the gospel but also wouldn’t make you feel like you had to have it all figured out to walk through the door.
His preaching style is direct, expository, and Christ-centered. If you want to hear him before you visit, check out a recent message.
