Pastoral counseling integrates biblical principles with clinical pastoral training and does not constitute a licensed mental health service.

By engaging in pastoral counseling through New Life Christian Church, you acknowledge that:

• Dr. Carter is not a licensed mental health professional, licensed counselor, licensed psychologist, or psychiatrist
• Pastoral counseling is spiritual guidance rooted in Scripture and pastoral care, not clinical treatment
• If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, you should call 911 or contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline
• Referrals to licensed mental health providers will be made when clinically appropriate
• Pastoral counseling conversations are confidential except where disclosure is required by law (imminent harm, child or elder abuse)
