DOCTRINE
What We Believe
Sound doctrine isn’t an academic exercise.
It’s the foundation for everything we do.
WHO WE ARE
Rooted in Scripture.
Grounded in the Faith.
New Life Christian Church is an independent, Bible-believing congregation. We hold to the historic Christian faith that has been passed down through the centuries, anchored in Scripture and centered on Jesus Christ. We don’t chase trends and we don’t water down the gospel. We simply teach the Bible and trust God to do what only He can do.
What follows is a summary of what we believe and teach. If you’d like to dig deeper, our full Articles of Faith are available through the membership process or by request.
AT A GLANCE
What We Hold To
These are the convictions that guide everything we teach, preach, and practice.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. It is our final authority for all matters of faith and life. We don’t add to it, take away from it, or bend it to fit the moment.
The Triune God
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, coequal and coeternal, sharing one divine essence.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived without sin, died as a substitute for sinners, rose bodily from the grave, and is coming back.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God. He convicts, regenerates, empowers, and produces the fruit of Christlike character in the lives of believers.
Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is the gift of God, not a result of human effort. Those whom God saves, He keeps.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, led by qualified elders and served by deacons. The local church gathers for the preaching of God’s Word, the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, prayer, and fellowship.
Marriage and Family
We believe marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman, instituted by God as the foundation of the family and of human society.
The Return of Christ
We believe in the personal, visible, and bodily return of Jesus Christ. He will judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.
