THE GOSPEL

Peace With God

Salvation isn’t about being religious. It’s about being rescued. Here is the story of how you can know God.

Step 1

The Problem: Separation

God created us to know Him and enjoy Him forever. But we have all chosen to go our own way. The Bible calls this sin. It’s not just making mistakes; it’s a rejection of God’s authority over our lives.

Because God is holy and just, He cannot ignore sin. Our sin creates a barrier between us and God that no amount of good works, religion, or self-improvement can fix.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

— Romans 3:23

The Cross

Step 2

The Solution: Jesus

Because we could not reach God, God came to us. Jesus Christ lived the perfect life we could not live, and died the death we deserved to die.

On the cross, Jesus took the penalty for our sin upon Himself. Three days later, He rose from the grave, defeating death and proving that He is Lord. He didn’t just show us the way; He is the way.

“God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

— Romans 5:8

Step 3

Turn and Trust

Salvation is a free gift, but it must be received. The Bible tells us to repent (turn away from our sin) and believe (trust in Jesus alone for salvation).

You don’t have to clean up your life first. You simply need to surrender your life to Him.

A Prayer of Commitment

There are no “magic words” that save you; it is the attitude of your heart. But if you are ready to trust Jesus, you can pray something like this:

“God, I know that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose from the grave. Today, I turn from my sin and trust Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me and giving me new life. Amen.”

Did you pray that prayer?

We are so excited for you! The very next step Jesus commands us to take is Baptism. It is how we go public with our faith.
